What are we looking for?

Short graphic novels, zines, and art books intended for riso print, completed or incomplete. Please note submissions are currently closed. We do not accept submissions outside of our Submissions Period. Our 2026 releases will be announced in the coming months.

How should I submit?

Drop us an email at inkyfruitco@gmail.com, with the heading: Submission: [Project name] by [Artist Name]

Please include:
2 spreads or equivalent of final artwork
A logline
A synopsis or Script
If your book is completed, at least 8 pages in a low-quality PDF
If your book uses an alternate format, please describe your vision for it (eg. 8-page concertina with slip case). You are welcome to provide sketched ideas.

What do we want to see?

Inky Fruit Co. are looking for:
Silly, soft, or sensitive (or a combination!)
Works intended for risograph print (see our colors)
Especially interested in books in alternative formats (such as concertina)
28 pages (or equivalent) or less. We are open to longer, if the books are already completed.

We’d like to see a variety of books aimed at young adult and adult audiences. We’re particularly keen on culturally diverse comics, and submissions from queer and world majority illustrators.

What are we not so keen on?

We are not accepting submissions for books for early readers, text-only books (unless a format is proposed), and books that require translation from languages other than Welsh.

We will not accept any submissions that have used AI.

What’s this about languages?

We’re keen on submissions that use Welsh language (especially billingually) and bilingual comics of all languages, aimed at an English-speaking audience. Currently, we cannot accept any submissions that require translation, besides Welsh.
