At the heart of their work is one continuous question: how can we celebrate being alive? Archie McKenzie (they/them) is a comic creator and printmaker based in Cardiff, Wales. Their work aims to capture depth and nuance around femininity within queerness, insanity and isolation, in the context of their own queer, disabled and religious minority experience. Telling captivating stories with a rich exploration of these themes, Archie explores the play and joy to be found in the turbulence of living. Using traditional print methods such as risograph, screen-print and letterpress, they create beautifully handmade comics and zines that expand the bounds of traditional paper publishing formats.
